It’s worth reading if you like American history and have the time. The people at the top tried to get something out of it, suffocating their citizens or the states around them through any way they could.
I would say ideal for schools and students, what with the texts of the Articles of Confederations and the Constitution of the United States as well as potted biographies of all the delegates to the constitution convention at the end of the book.
Want to Read Currently Reading Read. The author, a professor of American history at the City University of New York, rounds out her story with an account of the document’s ratification and of Washington’s inauguration as president.
At times it may sound like a textbook, but it’s also told as if it were a story. There was economic depression. If this is assigned to you as a must-read for school or something of that sort, than you’d be best off simply skimming the book or getting the information elsewhere.

If I was able to, I would have stopped reading it but I needed to know everything from this book in berkib to do well on my history test. A Brilliant Solution by Carol Berkin is such a great book because it explores how our great nation that we have today was made possible by this men who had this idea to create a government were the people would have rights to bring change to their country.
She also portrays the deep disagreements between Madison’s Federalists and the states’ rights advocates, such as George Mason and Carll Randolph of Virginia, both of whom berkn to sign the Constitution and swore to fight against its ratification in their state. I do not recommend this book to any one unless they are into history and would like to waste their time reading this. By the conflict and chaos created by thirteen independent mercantile systems was obvious, yet calls for commercial cooperation that year and the following year were met with suspicion, resistance-and a decided lack of interest. The group of men who traveled to Sklution in the summer of had no idea what kind of history their meeting would make.
New England fishermen had won the right to fish off Newfoundland, but they had lost their guaranteed British Caribbean markets for their catch. They had a large amount of debt and the 13 states conducted themselves as ebrkin political units.

But fears arose that the Senate and the House of Representatives might have too much power. As well it includes how the Articles of Confederation was a downfall to the nation and what not.

Alexander Hamilton, John Jay, James Monroe, Robert Morris-in short, men from every state-agreed that a serious crisis had settled upon the nation. How to write a great review. The chapters were extremely lengthy and super boring. When I think of the constitution I don’t think that there was as much involved as I learned soluution this book. Relations between the states were poor, and many questioned whether they would remain united.
