Everything went fast, but I do adored their interaction, banters and chemistry.
He asked Lucy’s father for her hand, but never asked her. Winning the Wallflower was sweet.
Which is why HE chooses to propose to her. Lucy doesn’t hold out much hope for her chances of marrying for love, she is taller than most men and rarely even gets asked to dance at the balls she attends.
And I mean that word too in the best possible sense, naturally. That scene where she realizes this was amazing, and I just iames to shout out “You go, Lucy! A Kiss at Midnight. Anyway, if it were after me I would write the whole thing: I did wonder yhe you were still referring to him as Ravensthorpe; it seems so formal.
He needs to marry someone above reproach and he finds all of that in Lucy.
